- York Christmas Market (St Nicholas Fair): Runs Nov 13th to Dec 21st. See the spectacular tree in St Helens Square. and for something different take a trip to York Minster to visit the Christmas Tree Festival (29th November to 5th January).
- Whitby Christmas Market: Takes place Nov 14th to 16th. Enjoy local vendors, food, and fireworks.

North Yorkshire Moors Railway : Santa Specials run weekends in December. This highly popular service delights families and the station itself is decorated with lights, flags, and garlands, offering fantastic photo opportunities
Christmas at Castle Howard: This year’s theme is The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. It runs Nov 13th to Jan 4th. Enjoy breathtaking décor and fabulous dining. The courtyard farm shop is home to a fabulous range of gifts, from hampers and Gin, to baubles and Wizard of Oz treats. Enjoy an afternoon-tea in the grand hall, or pay a visit to Bettys Pop-up shop in the courtyard.
Robin Hood’s Bay Victorian Weekend: The village is transformed into a winter wonderland . Visitors and locals don traditional Victorian attire adding to the uniqueness of this event. Browse a variety of market stalls featuring local handcrafted treasures. *Free Parking in Robin Hoods Bay in the Winter months. The event is Dec 6th & 7th.
Scarborough Sparkle: A free magical wonderland at the Open Air Theatre. See the annual lantern parade as well as stalls offering crafts, gifts, hot food and drinks. There’ll also be fun fair rides, music, a snow machine, Christmas tree, Santa sleigh and appearances from some famous faces including the Grinch. . It runs Nov 28th to 30th.
Yorkshire Winter Wonderland: Outdoor ice skating is available. The rink has real ice at its centre as well as a 30ft high Christmas Tree. Visit the thrilling funfair, magical Santa’s Grotto and cosy alpine café The Chalet. Open Nov 14th to Jan 4th.
