Splash into Action
From its humble beginnings as a fishing lake, the park has grown into a premier destination for water sports. It is now home to three incredible inflatable Aqua Parks. We recommend “Wipeout” and “Warrior” for the big kids, while “Splash Kingdom” is perfect for ages 3–7.
Beyond the inflatables, the water sports lake offers:
- Paddleboarding, Kayaking & Pedaloes: Explore the water at your own pace.
- Giant SUP: This massive stand-up paddleboard fits up to eight people. It’s a brilliant way to test your balance together!
- Wakeboarding & Sailing: For those looking for a little more speed.
Land-Based Adventures
If you prefer to stay dry, the fun doesn’t stop at the water’s edge. Much of the action is centered around the impressive “Thrill Tower” near the lake.
- Zip-Line & Climbing Wall: This is a real highlight! You can tackle six different courses on the 12-metre climbing wall before taking the leap on the 250m Zip-Line. Gliding across the lake is an incredible experience. There is also a great spectator area nearby for those who prefer to keep their feet on the ground.
- The Adventure Wood: Tucked away in the trees, this area is perfect for ground-based fun. Challenge your family to low ropes, archery, or even axe throwing!
- Escape & Puzzle Rooms: For something a bit more cerebral, try the on-site escape & puzzle rooms. It’s a brilliant test of teamwork and logic.
Excellent Facilities
We were truly impressed by how well-maintained the park is. From the tree-lined entrance to the large, free car park, everything is clearly signed.
The facilities are top-notch, featuring immaculate family changing areas and hot showers. Instead of traditional lockers, the park provides a handy key safe at reception so you can leave your bags in the car, and securely leave your car keys behind.
After your session, head to the lakeside cafe. They offer a “short but sweet” menu, including delicious wood-fired pizzas. If you arrive early, their breakfast menu is excellent value, with options ranging from toasted teacakes to a full English.
Great Value for All Ages
Even if you aren’t booking an organized activity, the park is worth a visit. You can enjoy a free 2.5km walk, run, or cycle around the scenic lakeside track. Younger children will also love the free play area while you enjoy the views with a cup of tea.
What to Bring
The park provides a wetsuit hire service, buoyancy aids, and helmets. You simply need to bring:
- Swimming outfits and towels.
- Water shoes (though socks can be purchased on-site).
- A sense of adventure!
